Heritage Trade Group, LLC (HTG) with PermaStrong Wood Products (PS) is all about caring, which translates to quality.  We are about durability, which translates to long lasting quality.  Together these translate to high quality products.

We produce many specialty products of high quality and custom design.  Two of our products are the EnduraShake and all natural hardwood plank flooring of which we currently have fourteen species.  Materials for these all natural hardwoods are produced primarily in three locations from the forests of South America.  Ten of these species are not offered by any other organization in the United States.  For the production of our unique specialty products we are responsible for employment of many indigenous peoples of South America, sometimes numbering in excess of 200 natives.  These people are directly employed by our associates in country and in many cases provide them with their only source of financial employment.   We at HDL and PS are loyal to these indigenous people and in turn they provide quality woods for our products.  These native people, who have lived and worked in these forests for generations, have the knowledge and expertise to hand pick trees with minimal disturbance to the remaining natural resource base while enhancing the regenerative processes.   In the case of production of our roofing product EnduraShake; the people select specific tree species required through hunting and gathering techniques.  The EnduraShake is hand hewn in the forest, bundled together and carried out to our shipping staged area.  All of the products for the hardwood flooring material are selected in much the same way.  The native people have the knowledge of selecting the proper tree for the given species of flooring offered by HTG.  This is a knowledge that has been handed down from generation to generation.  The trees are felled and the logs are taken to the PermaStrong associates log mill for process of cutting to raw sawn lumber.  This is then shipped to our location in Oklahoma.  Once the product is received in Oklahoma it begins its long process of drying.  This generally requires a 90 to 120 day air and kiln drying process before we allow the wood to be milled for flooring.
